MEDFORD, Ore. — The Medford School district has officially canceled all classes for Thursday, Feb. 6th. The Medford Education Association and the District are continuing mediation sessions today, and the sessions could end up going into the early morning hours. To ensure security for parents and allow them to make solid child care plans, the District has decided to close all Medford Schools for Thursday, Feb. 6th.
In the event of a strike, the Medford schools will be closed Feb. 6th, Feb. 7th, and Feb. 10th, with select schools opening again on Feb. 11th. The Medford Education Association is planning to strike Feb. 6th at 6:00 AM, if an agreement cannot be met in mediation sessions today.
